The supremacy battle between Nigerian music heavyweights,Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid and David Adeleke aka Davido, seems to have simmered a little after their open declaration of affection for each other at the latter’s N30 Billion 2017 concert in Lagos. But fans of both superstars have  continued to compare the achievements of the singers especially in the international music scene. There’s no doubt both Wizkid and Davido wield fairly intimidating fan bases both home and abroad, hence the nonstop assessment of “who is what” or “who has done what first”. Afropop artiste, Peruzzi (Tobechukwu Victor Okoh) is signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). His breakthrough followed the big hit collaboration titled Amaka with legendary musician 2Baba. Beyonce’s official 2020 Grammy Award submissions was released and “Brown Skin Girl” from Beyonce’s “The Gift” album featuring  Wizkid , Blue Ivy Carter and Saint Jhn was sent in to be nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the forthcoming award show in 2020. If the nomination is accepted and the award won, the “ Fever ” singer would be the first Nigerian artiste to win a Grammy.

A huge achievement is about to envelope Davido as he would be making an appearance on the second part of popular Hollywood movie, “ Michael Blackson a popular comedian and Hollywood actor made the announcement on Twitter some hours ago. Davido performed at a concert yesterday in Atlanta, United States in which Michael Blackson was present. After the concert, they all proceeded to the after-party in which Davido and Michael Blackson were seen together. Apparently, it appears that was where Davido shared the news in which Blackson has now littered the internet with the news.  Davido has been said to have a performance appearance in the movie which sees another popular Hollywood actor, Eddie Murphy take the lead role. Ycee seems to be finally ready to spill out all what happened between him and his former record label, Tinny entertainment, with his post and video going from Instagram post to Periscope. Speaking further about the issue, Ycee revealed he left Tinny with zero funds and that threw him to a homeless state because there was no cash to rent a place for himself. The rapper revealed that he had to stay with his family those times people thought he was chilling in the States because there was no cash to rent a place but when he finally decided to cut ties with Tinny, he got a place in less than two months. He said: “Music for me has partly been about making money and about enjoying the ride, touching people’s lives and doing what I had to do. Don Jazzy has    took to his Twitter page to announce that people in the entertainment industry are not serious minded people. He disclosed how he takes good care of the members of staff at Mavin Records. Don Jazzy also revealed that he has over 35 employees working for him, and in the seven years of running his record label, he has always paid their salaries consistently without fail. “No be say na mouth. In a recent interview with OAP Dotun at Cool Fm, the rapper “Erigga” revealed that he is the brain behind the common slang  “2 Seconds everywhere don burst” that is being used in the music industry now. Not wanting to mention Wizkid’s name who used the slang in his new track “ Ghetto Love “, he explained that he was surprised that the singer would boldly use the slang in his song. The rapper also shared little bits about his past hustle, how he made Warri artistes relevant and making figures with their music. Paperboy prefers to make music in Warri and not in Lagos because he doesn’t want to lose his root and his position as the King of the South.

For months now Nigerian music sensation Davido has been teasing fans with information of his highly anticipated album. Billed for an October release the DMW boss revealed that the album is in its final production state which is the worst part of the process. Davido made this revelation on his Instagram story where he stated that the album is presently in the mixing and mastering level which happens to be the last process of music production.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) just announced that the full implementation of the cashless policy will become effective from March 31, 2020. In the circular titled: “Re: Implementation of the Cashless Policy,” that was addressed to all banks, it announced the commencement of charges on deposits in addition to already existing charges on withdrawals. According to the circular, the charges, which take effect from today, would attract three per cent processing fees for withdrawals and two per cent processing fees for lodgements of amounts above N500,000 for individual accounts. Reacting to the proposed development, Don Jazzy wrote, ‘my dear the whole thing just reeks of a desperate move to generate revenue. When they load their own stolen money in the bank, they don’t care whatever charges they have to pay’.

The US singer, Chris Brown has begged to be part of Davido’s train when he gets married to his fiancee Chioma next year.  Since the release of their hit single ‘Blow My Mind’, both singers have been sharing a wonderful relationship, such as hanging together, or even performing live on stage together.  They’ve gone from the success of the song to even sharing a stage together at Chris Brown’s Indigo tour. Well, it seems their relationship goes beyond just featuring one another on a song, because Chris Brown has begged to be part of Davido’s train in the wedding slated for next year. Yoruba indigenous rapper Naira Marley has displaced Wizkid’s “Ghetto Love” from apple music with his newly release single “Puta”. The ”Soapy” Crooner  Naira Marley has been crowned the Street King and endorsed to bag the headies awards by several music critics and analysts within the country. The singer recently showed his prowess and the loyalty of his fans as he displace  Wizkid 2019 single “Ghetto Love” with “Puta” on Apple Music’s Nigeria Top 100 on iTunes.

This is her first release after her official signing into Universal Music Group in May 2019. After having the premiere in other parts of the world including New York, Tiwa noted that the Lagos edition would come “bigger” as “her city’ deserves more.

Davido‘s fiance, Chioma Rowland has reacted to reports of she welcoming a baby boy with the singer. There have been speculations that she welcomed a baby boy after controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo sent her a congratulatory message on Twitter. On Tuesday, September 10, Olunloyo announced that Chioma had put to bed, while assuring the celebrity wife that she would pay her a visit soon. She posted: “Congrats Chioma on the birth of your baby boy. I will come visit you this weekend #Kemitalks #Kemiolunloyo”. She said.  Recall that there have been rumours that Chioma has been pregnant. Meet Singer Kizz Daniel’s soon-to-be Baby Mama, Emerald Vicky popularly known as poshmerald. She is a Stylist who has been rumored to be kizz Daniel girlfriend.  Some weeks ago, it was rumored that posh Merald was pregnant for the singer, which turns out to be true.  It was also rumored that a lady (name withheld) was pregnant for the singer, however, we are yet to confirm how true it is. Davido’s manager Asa Asika revealed that Davido’s next album will be called ‘A Good Time’ during a private listening party. RCA record is expecting Davido to release an album soon so he could fulfil his contractual obligation, and fans should be excited because the album is read. Despite the fact that Davido had a busy weekend. He met his girlfriend’s parent to ask them for their daughter’s hand in marriage and he gets to spend time with Imade a day after. He is a loving dad and he always spends time with his kids. Luckily for him, his wife to be, Chioma, doesn’t bother him when he needs time with his kids and their baby mama. Davido and Imade went for Ice cream and they had fun.
